I've had 6 sessions with Marc, and I can say without a doubt it's the best experience I've ever had. I'm a past athlete, and because I'm older, I injuries happen. I've been to several PTs, and I've tried different routines, and they all turned out to be temporary fixes. Since I've been going to Marc, I've experienced a d had nothing but success. At some point, I couldn't run, jump, and have difficulty throwing. But, since my sessions, I feel like myself again. It's amazing how he can turn a frown into a smile. Not only is he great at what he does, but he's also extremely professional. He loves what he does, and he makes you feel the most important while you're in the room. I came to Marc with chronic and debilitating back pain, after seeing doctors, specialists and physical therapists with zero success. After only a few months of regular sessions with Marc, my back pain was completely gone. Over a year later, I am still going for weekly sessions. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Marc as it came during a time of personal conflict and extreme anxiety. A friend had recommended I try acupuncture to help with my stress, but little did I know how special Marc was as both a practitioner and as an advocate of mindfulness. Before EVERY session, Marc recaps my week and dives into my emotional state (as far deep as one is willing to delve). He then uses that information to target the exact points in my body that are essentially crying for help. By the time I leave, I genuinely feel like a new person. Marc Gian is the practitioner’s practitioner. I’ve known Marc for years, both as a student and as a teaching assistant. My husband began seeing Marc a few months back for relief with his vertigo symptoms. He's been on and off prescription medication which inevitably led to more pain and no long term relief. We're generally skeptical of Eastern medicine but we were ready to try anything. After his first session with Marc, he already felt relief from the intense amount of dizziness and imbalance. I've been treated by Marc Gian more than a dozen times and I recommend his treatments to all. I have a severe form of a rare type of spinal arthritis that also affects other joints. After each treatment with Marc, my pain levels are lower, my freedom of movement is greater and over the course of several visits, my condition improved. Marc's acupuncture needling is rarely painful. His use of massage therapy and essential oils -- including oils from Chinese medicine -- enhance the effectiveness of Marc's treatments and add a soothing calm to his treatment experience. Marc is a wonderful acupuncturist & energetic body healer. His treatments have helped me immensely with scapular muscle pain (that I have been dealing with for the past 8 months.) After 4 sessions with Marc, I have noticed a huge change in tightness & pain in my back where the issue was. These sessions have almost cured my pain entirely! He makes sure to check in with you every appointment about how your body is healing. And makes the space very comfortable & safe, accommodating to what you need and answering all questions with reassurance and positivity. I’ve been going to Marc now for the past two months, he has completely helped the pain in my right shoulder due to overuse from the computer. Most recently he has done Acupuncture for my IBS. I had a flare up this past week and was extremely bloated and uncomfortable when I saw him, the next day I was able to go to the bathroom and the bloating was completely gone and that uncomfortable feeling. I’ve been struggling with IBS for about 12 years now and flare ups usually take time to go away, and this happened so quickly. He is truly a miracle worker. I also want to add I suffer from really bad neck pain, since this is where I put all my tension. I wasn't able to see Marc for 2 weeks because of work, and I definitely was feeling the pain and got a massage that didn't even help until I saw him this week. It was night and day after my session, the pain completely went away with acupuncture and a massage from him. He really knows what he is doing, once again a true miracle worker. ~ teresa k

I thought acupuncture was a joke...a way for people to make money...until I gave it a shot. That was until my appointment with Marc. For years, I’ve had back pain due to not stretching properly and weight fluctuations. My appointment was phenomenal. About 8 tiny needles were placed in different locations on my back. This appointment was 2 weeks ago. The back pain has vanished. It’s strange, but in a great way. Clearly, Marc knows what he is doing. I’ll be going back again. Simply an amazing experience. ~ Don K

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience deserved one I was driving from Miami to New York when, halfway through the trip, my right shoulder completely locked up. I couldn’t lift my arm, couldn’t turn the wheel comfortably; the pain was that intense. Once I finally got to NYC, I remembered that several people had told me Marc was a bit of a quiet miracle-worker, and that if anyone could help, it would be him. I had always hesitated a bit because of the fee, but by then I was desperate. I called him, and honestly, within 15 minutes of being on his table, the pain was gone. Full range of motion in the back. I still don’t understand how he did it, as he worked on areas nowhere near where it hurt, yet everything released. It was wild. On top of that, it was hands-down the best massage I’ve ever had. Marc gets right to the root of the issue and somehow knows exactly what needs to be done. You’d never expect someone so unassuming to be so skilled. Marc accepts many out-of-network insurance plans, which makes care easier! If you’re in pain, go. It’s absolutely worth it. ~ J B

If I could give him 100 stars, I would. Marc does amazing work! He has treated 3 different ailments that I couldn’t resolve for so long. In one session I felt significantly better. Now two of my three issues are cured! And the best part is —no medication. An all natural treatment of accupuncture and massage therapy with natural essential oils. I recently went to see Marc after a torn ACL & grade 2 sprain of the MCL in my knee. I came in with terrible pain and a significantly reduced range of motion. In just one session I had about a 90% reduction in pain and swelling and 70% increase in the range of motion. After a few more sessions I am almost back to full functioning, with no pain. I’ve always been scared of needles, but Marc made my first acupuncture experience calm and comforting. The needles were barely noticeable, and I felt deeply relaxed afterward. Marc has been amazing helping me with a lot of muscle tightness and neck pain due to herniated discs. I came to him after going to PT for two years and almost getting surgery.
